Magistrates in the Community
Sue Baird JP will introduce us to the work of Magistrates in North Yorkshire and provide an explanation of the sentencing process.

Thursday 8th February
Damien Poole – Musical Theatre
Damien has enjoyed a ten-year career in musical theatre working in London’s West End. He talks to us about his life and work.

Thursday 14th March
Easter Craft activity with Maddie Wilmott
Hands on crafty activity.

Thursday  11th April
The role of social media in promoting sustainable agriculture.
Young Farmers, Lizzie McLaughlin and Becca Wilson, talk about their podcast ‘Boots and Heels’, which highlights how people from different backgrounds can find a foothold in this diverse and exciting industry.

Thursday 9th May
Boomerang Flowers, Boroughbridge
Members will be shown how to design and create three different flower arrangements.

Thursday 13th June
Annual Outing
A visit to a local place of interest – destination tbc.

Thursday 11th July
Summer Garden Party
Weather permitting, the Committee will host a summer party in a beautiful local garden.

Thursday 12th September
Lucy Thompson – Cosmetic & Paramedical Tattoo Artist
Lucy specialises in 3D and decorative tattoos for breast cancer survivors. She will talk about her work and the aims of the charity she founded – the Nipple Innovation Project.

Thursday 10th October
Craft Activity – WI 100 year celebration.

Saturday 2nd November  
100 Year celebration & Coffee Morning
Members will host the annual WI Coffee Morning along with displays in the Memorial Hall celebrating the work of the organisation.

Thursday 14th November
AGM & Iris Folding Cards Craft Activity
Iris folding is a famously tricky craft technique, but Heather Smyth will help us all to create an Iris card using folded strips of coloured paper.

Thursday 12th December
Christmas Party
Join us for a fabulous festive meal with entertainment, sparkles and lots of fun.
