The Great Yorkshire Show 2026 - Request for Volunteers
It is that time of the year when we ask you volunteer to help run our café and exhibition area at the show each day. There are several options :-
- Volunteer to do one or more shifts in the catering area
- Volunteer to act as a Steward in the exhitbition area engaging with the public and explaining what the WI is
- Volunteer in setting up before and clearing down after the show

All volunteers are given a free day pass to the show and refreshments appropriate to their shift.
Shifts will be allocated based on the date forms are received in the office and staffing requirements.
If your employer offers time off for Charity Support and you require proof, Federation can supply a letter including Charity Number etc to support your volunteering.
There will be three display areas showcasing our members talents and interests:-
- The Great Yorkshire W.I. Yarn Bomb
- One I Made Earlier
- Membership Opportunities

Menu Choices for Autumn Lunch 2026
MAINS
A. Seared salmon, lemon & saffron risotto served with charred tender stem broccoli (GF).
B. Slow cooked chicken coq au vin served with a creamed mashed potato (GF).
C. Creamy mushroom & caramelized onion ravioli, wild mushrooms, shaved parmesan and truffle oil with crispy sage leaves
DESSERTS
1. Caramel apple and blackberry crumble tart served with vanilla ice cream
2. Sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce, honeycomb & vanilla ice cream (GF).
3. Pannacotta with pear sorbet and Yorkshire Parkin (GF)
Tea, coffee and mint will be served after dessert.
